KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Makayla Roginski posted 14 kills and seven blocks, leading No. 3-ranked Corban to a 25-15, 25-15, 27-25 victory over Oregon Tech at Danny Miles Court.
The Warriors (11-3, 5-2 CCC) finished the night with a 48-32 edge in kills and a 13-6 edge in blocks to claim the road victory.
Corban used a pair of big runs in the first two sets to claim victories – using a 6-1 run in Set 1 to take a 21-13, adding an 8-1 run in Set 2 to pull out to a 20-11 edge.
The Lady Owls (7-7, 1-6) battled back in Set 3, erasing a 19-13 deficit with an 8-point run.
Aleksen Thayer combined for three blocks and added a kill in the flurry. Tech had set point at 24-23 after a Thayer kill, but Corban earned a side out and won the match on a Roginski-Gracie Boeder block.
Thayer led OIT with eight kills and five blocks,
Savanna Sterck had seven kills and three blocks, with
Abigail Sorensen leading all players with 22 digs.
Kendra Bittle and Emma Bischoff each had 10 kills for Corban, with Boeder leading all players with eight blocks.
Tech returns to the court tomorrow afternoon, hosting Bushnell at 4 p.m.
