SHAWNEE, Okla. - Oregon Tech pitchers combined to allow just four earned runs in three games, as the Lady Owls won 2-of-3 games on Day 2 of the NAIASB Invittional at FireLake Ball Fields.
The Lady Owls (5-1), dropped a tight 2-1 decision to 11-time NAIA champ, No. 8-ranked Oklahoma City, before closing the day with a 2-1 extra inning win over No. 15-ranked Midland and a 4-3 win over Grand View.
In the opener, an unearned run in the sixth inning broke a 1-1 tie, leading the No. 8 ranked Stars (5-1) to the victory.

Illiana Ashford scored on a fielding error following a base hit and OCU reliever Tara Hoehner worked around a seventh inning single to earn the win.

The Stars manufactured a first inning run, as Hoehner walked with two outs, stole second and scored on an Analise Rayburn single. The Owls (5-2) tied the game in the third, as
Malia Mick singled and scored on a 2-out RBI single from
Zoe Allen.

Tech was limited to just three singles in the loss, with
Kacie Schmidt the tough-luck loser, allowing just one earned run on seven hits, striking out nine.

The middle game was dominated by
Alli Parker, as the sophomore tossed a complete game 2-hitter – with the Owls forcing extra innings with a seventh inning rally and winning the game in the eighth.

The Warriors (4-1) took a 1-0 lead two at bats into the game, as Reece Floro doubled and scored on an error – but Parker handcuffed the Nebraska team the rest of the way, striking out six.

OIT stranded runners in scoring position in the second, fourth and fifth against the Warriors starter Paeton Coler – but broke through in the seventh.
Addison Kachnik led off with a single and pinch runner
Jazmine Macias scored on a
Jayce Seavert triple to right.

An inning later (using the international tiebreaker), pinch runner
Ashlyn Vey scored on a bunt single by
Nita Cook – with Parker stranding the tying run at third to end the game.

Gina Allen was 2-for-3 in the win for Tech.

Under the lights, the Owls outlasted the Vikings (2-4) to close out the marathon day – making a 3-run fifth inning rally stand up.

Tech opened the scoring in the fourth on a
Gina Allen RBI double, but GVU answered in the top of the inning, tying the score on a Carly Meister solo homer.

OIT built a 4-1 lead in the fifth, thanks to RBI singles from Cook and
Gina Allen, with a third run scoring on a passed ball. The Vikings got a pair of runs back in the sixth, but
Jenna Gorden came in and retired the final five batters in order to earn a save.

Carly Moore struck out seven batters to pick up the win, allowing two earned runs in five and two-thirds innings of work. Kachnik and Macias had 2-hit days for Tech.
