OLYMPIA, Wash. – Seven Oregon Tech players recorded at least four kills, as the Lady Owls won their second-straight match, a 25-20, 25-16, 25-19 victory at Evergreen State inside Constantino Recreation Center.
OIT (9-7, 3-6 CCC) held the Geoducks to a .027 hitting percentage and forced 24 attack errors in the win.
Alexa Gugliotta posted six kills with a .417 attack percentage to lead tech, with
Savanna Sterck,
Steffini Goss and
Tiffini Goss each recording five kills, with
Lex Boccia and
Willow Jacobson recording four kills and
Aleksen Thayer finishing the night with four kills and four blocks.
The Owls opened the match on an 11-4 run, getting two kills each from Sterck and Thayer and withstood a late push by the Geoducks (1-12, 1-8) to claim the set win. Tech used a 5-0 run to break a 7-7 tie in Set 2 and kept TESC at bay, while in Set 3, the Owls recorded 3-straght blocks in a 15-5 run to open the period, completing the sweep.
Lucy Boyd had 14 assists and
Taryn Ramsay had 12 assists and eight digs for the Owls, with
Abigail Sorensen finishing with 16 digs.
Sophia Scroggins led the Geoducks with 10 kills and 10 digs.
OIT closes out the road trip tomorrow afternoon with a 4 p.m. match at Northwest.
