HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College scored less than three minutes into the match, with the Saints holding Oregon Tech without a shot on goal, as the Montana squad topped the Hustlin' Owls, 2-0, at Nelson Stadium.
The Saints (6-1-1, 4-0 CCC) got an Alfie Snow goal in the third minute, as the forward posted up in the area, turned over his left shoulder and ripped a 15-yard shot into the right corner of the net.
Carroll tacked on an insurance goal in the 27th minute, as Joseph Sattherwaite played a cross to Sam Loughton in the box – heading home the goal, despite playing the ball from an offsides position.
The Saints defense did the rest, limiting the Hustlin' Owls (4-2-3, 2-2) to five total shots – three from
Moises Lopez Carillo – but none on frame.
Tech keeper
Harvey Bolland kept his side in the match, making a season-high six saves – as Carroll held a 16-5 edge in shots.
