CALDWELL, Idaho –
Madison Dick tied a career-best finish by placing fourth overall, as Oregon Tech pulled away from their rivals to take second at the College of Idaho Invitational at rainy TimberStone Golf Course.
The Lady Owls (311-321 – 632) battled the elements throughout the day, holding off a late-round charge from both Lewis-Clark State (323-319 – 642) and College of Idaho (314-328 – 642) to claim the silver medal. British Columbia (299-298 – 597) cruised to the team win with the top-two team scores of the event.
Dick (73-78 – 151) equaled her finish from last season's Danish Classic, overcoming seven bogeys by posting birdies on the par-5 fourth and the par-4 16th. Grace Yao (73-72 – 155) of UBC placed third, while C of I 's Reece Garey (70-74 – 144) and UBC's Keira Hou (75-69 – 144) finished tied atop the leaderboard – with Garey winning a 1-hole playoff.
OIT had three others in the Top-15 – as
Madie Hepner (77-83 – 160) and
Baylee Hodgman (78-82 – 160) tied for 12th and
Sydney Dick (83-81 – 164) finished 15th.
Tech returns to action next Monday and Tuesday at the Lewis-Clark State Fall Invite.
