Bauman Scores 22 on Senior Night, Tech Rolls Past WWU

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Kody Bauman made the most of his Senior Night, as the lone Oregon Tech senior scored a career-high 22 points, helping the Owls dispatch Walla Walla, 106-63, at Danny Miles Court.

OIT (23-5, 18-4 CCC) rebounded from yesterday's loss to LC State by hitting 57% of their field goals, including 12 made 3-pointers, adding a 49-23 edge on the glass.

The Owls will take the No. 3- seed in the Cascade Conference quarterfinals, hosting Bushnell University on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Elsewhere, LC will host Eastern Oregon, Southern will host Corban, with College of Idaho hosting Northwest.

Bauman delivered for Tech on the opening possession, emphatically dunking on an alley-oop from Keegan Shivers.

The Wolves (5-22, 4-18) hung around early, getting within 19-15 with 12 minutes left in the period, but the Owls countered with a 24-5 run of their own – thanks to three triples from Jay Elmore and a pair of Bauman inside baskets to break the game open. Tech led 56-29 at the half and were never threatened.

Bauman finished the night 10-of-12 from the floor, adding six rebounds. Kam Osborn scored 16, Elmore scored 15 (including 5-of-7 from 3-point range), with Erik Fraser scoring 13 and Keegan Shivers finishing with 10 points and a career-high 13 points. All 11 OIT players in uniform scored in the victory.

WWU got 21 points off the bench from Andrew Vaughan.
