DALLAS, Texas - Oregon Tech midfielder Andrew Pasang became the first men's soccer player to earn multiple Academic All-America honors, as the senior was named a second-team selection to the 2024 squad announced by the College Sports Communicators.

The highest honor for a student-athlete, the Academic All-America team is determined by a panel of sports communication specialists - combining both achievement on the field of competition and in the classroom. To reach the Academic All-America ballot, an athlete must be selected to their respective All-District Team (requiring student-athletes to start 90-percent of all games, be an all-conference performer, maintain at least a 3.50 GPA and be selected to the team). From the final ballot, a total of 22 student-athletes were named to the Academic All-America teams.

Pasang, a senior from Auckland, New Zealand, led the Hustlin' Owls in scoring for a second-straight year and earned All-Cascade Conference honors, leading Tech to the CCC Tournament semifinals. He is one of four OIT players to win the honor in program history.
