Lady Owls Head to Florida For 1st/2nd Round of NAIA Tourney

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oregon Tech will make a cross-country flight for the First/Second Rounds of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championships, heading to West Palm Beach, Fla., for a 3-team bracket hosted by Keiser University.

The Lady Owls (15-5-1) will meet Tennessee Wesleyan (14-1-3) in the first round on Thursday, with the winner meeting No. 3 overall seed Keiser on Saturday for a berth to the tournament final site in Pensacola, Fla.

OIT makes their fourth national tournament appearance in six years – losing their opener in 2019 to Marymount California, losing in penalty kicks to Eastern Oregon in the 2020 second round, while upsetting three Top-25 teams en route to the national semifinals in 2021.

The current Lady Owls squad had a 7-match win streak snapped on Thursday in a 1-0 loss to College of Idaho, the No. 5 overall seed.

The Bulldogs, regular-season co-champions from the Appalachian Athletic Conference, feature an offense that has scored 68 goals this season, led by AAC Golden Boot winner Krista Eik Herdardottir, who led the squad with 27 goals and 10 assists.

Game time, along with streaming and live stats options will be announced later this weekend.
