HOUSTON, Texas - Six student-athletes - two baseball and four softball players - represented Oregon Tech on the College Sports Communicators NAIA Academic All-District 4 teams.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter at a specific position, play in at least 50-percent of the squad's games, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Those honored were selected by a panel of sports information directors and will move on to the final ballot for the prestigious CSC Academic All-America Team.

Junior pitcher Patrick Arman and sophomore third-baseman Tyler Horner were honored from the Hustlin' Owls squad, while sophomore pitcher Kacie Schmidt, sophomore catcher Jayce Seavert, junior shortstop Kaila Mick and junior outfielder Lexi Klum were honored from the Lady Owls.
