Mull Breaks Weight Throw Record in 2023 Indoor Opener

NEWBERG/PORTLAND, Ore. –
Katie Mull set the Oregon Tech school record in the weight throw, as the Lady Owls opened up the indoor track season, competing at the George Fox and University of Portland Indoors.

Mull placed seventh overall in the event, launching the 20-pound implement 12.35 meters (40 feet, 6.25 inches). The junior also took 16th overall in the shot put (9.75 meters / 31 feet, 11.75 inches).
Multi-event competitor,
Ally Odell, tuned up for an upcoming pentathlon – competing in the 60-meter hurdles (9.78 seconds), shot put (10.12 meters / 33 feet, 2.5 inches) and the long jump (4.32 meters / 14 feet, 2 inches).
Eva Brady opened her season on the oval, placing sixth overall in the 400-meters (1:01.49).
The Lady Owls will compete next at the Eastern Oregon Indoor on Feb. 17-18.
