Lady Owls Roll to Road Sweep at Walla Walla

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Molly Grace had 16 kills and Kate Hicks tied a career-high with 10 kills, part of an efficient Oregon Tech attack, as the Lady Owls swept Walla Walla in three sets at Windemuth Court.

Tech (10-14, 8-9 CCC) moved a win away from clinching a spot in the Cascade Conference Championships with the 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 victory – using a .429 attack percentage to their advantage.

Grace needed just 25 swings for her 16 kills, while Hicks had just one attack error in 18 attempts, helping the Owls extend their win streak to a season-high three matches.

OIT got a pair of Abigail Sorensen aces in a 7-2 run to open the match – setting the tone for the afternoon. Grace had 3-straight kills in an 11-1 run in Set 2 to break away from a 6-6 tie, while adding three more kills in a 14-5 start to Set 3.
