Late Goal From Jacobson Lifts Lady Owls to Road Win

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Kiana Jacobson volleyed home the game-winner inside the final six minutes, lifting Oregon Tech to a crucial 1-0 victory over the University of Providence at Argo Field.

The Lady Owls (4-5-3, 3-4-2 CCC) picked up their second road conference win, dominating possession throughout.

OIT had an 18-2 edge in total shots and recorded all 10 corner kicks in the match – but the Argos (2-10-1, 1-7-1) weathered the storm until the waning minutes.

Following an 85th minute throw-in, Tech played a ball to the right side of the area. Brianna Lewis touched a pass to Jacobson, with the forward one-timing a volley into the right corner of the net.

It was all Sydni Nakamura needed, as the Lady Owls keeper made one save in earning her fifth clean sheet of the season.

Tech will close out their three match road swing next Friday, traveling to Ashland for a rivalry match-up at Southern Oregon.
