KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –
Nicole Reyes had a match-high 14 kills, powering an efficient Oregon Tech attack to a 25-12, 25-16, 25-16 victory over Warner Pacific inside Danny Miles Court.
The Lady Owls (8-8, 5-5 CCC) pulled back to the .500 mark in league play with the victory, hitting at a .354 clip – recording 47 kills on 99 swings.
Kaylin Talonen had 11 kills in the win, with
Courtney Isom recording a season-high six kills, to go along with 35 assists and 11 digs.
Reyes had a pair of kills in a six-point Set 1 run for Tech, pushing a lead to 15-6, as the hosts cruised.
The Knights (1-9, 1-9) had their chances in Set 2, as kills from Tevlin Britton and Kyla Reiling gave the Portland school a 13-11 lead. OIT answered in a big way, rattling off 13 of the next 14 points – including three kills from Isom – to grab the win.
Leading 11-7 in Set 3, three consecutive WPU hitting errors gave Tech a commanding lead, with a Talonen kill ending the match.
Molly Grace had seven kills and
Kate Hicks added five for OIT, with Reyes and
Aubrey Kievit each logging 10 digs.
Britton led WPU with 10 kills, with Sabah Mohammady posting a match-high 16 digs.
OIT returns to action tomorrow night, hosting Multnomah at 5 p.m.
