Teams/Athletes Honored By Multiple Coaches Associations

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Multiple Oregon Tech athletic teams and student-athletes have been honored over the past month by their respective national coaching associations.
The Owls cross country/track programs, the baseball program, the women's golf program and the volleyball program have all earned distinction for their work in the classroom.
CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK - Both the men's and women's programs were named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic teams - for maintaining at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average. The men's team posted the No. 5 GPA in the NAIA (3.49), with the women's team recording the No. 4 GPA (3.66). In addition, five student-athletes (

Aarika Brooks,
Thomas Dodgen,
Nick McMillen,
Jonas Hartline) were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team - having to maintain a 3.25 grade point average and qualify for the NAIA Championships.
GOLF - Senior
Ashley Zhu was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team - one of only five Cascade Conference student-athletes named to the 1,506-member squad.Â
BASEBALL - The Hustlin' Owls were honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association with the Team Academic Excellence Award. OIT posted a 3.40 cumulative grade point average for the year and was one of 26 schools (and the only CCC squad) to earn the distinction.
VOLLEYBALL: The Lady Owls continued to showcase their work off the court, as their 3.71 team grade point average earned the club the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Earning individual honors were
