Weather Halts Finals of Javelin at NAIA Championships

GULF SHORES, Ala. - Sitting in second place after the first round of attempts in the javelin final, Oregon Tech's
Alex Conley will play the waiting game, as weather has halted competition at the NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Conley recorded a mark of 45.26 meters during her preliminary round, sitting in the No. 2 spot - and will have two additional attempts in the finals once competition continues. The NAIA games committee has yet to determine an updated schedule.

Aarika Brooks and
Brittan Bratscher each competed in the preliminaries, but failed to reach the nine-athlete final.Â
