Men's Track and Field
EUGENE, Ore. – Huge efforts from Nick McMillen and Jonas Hartline netted the Oregon Tech duo automatic qualifying marks for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, as the Owls competed at the Titan Distance Carnival at the Lane Track and Field Bowl.

Paced throughout by former Owl All-American Mark French, McMillen earned the victory in a time of 30:52.62 – 12 seconds off the school record – but 23 seconds clear of the national mark.

Right behind him was Hartline, who recorded a time of 30:59.51 – joining McMillen on the podium.

Two other OIT men raced during the evening meet – as Toby Ruston (4:13.71) and Thomas Long (4:20.72) raced in the 1,500-meters.

The remainder of the OIT squad will compete tomorrow at the Titan Invitational.
