Canon, Zhu Earn All-CCC, Lady Owls 2nd at CCC Open

EAGLE POINT, Ore. –
Payton Canon shot a final round 1-over-par 73, climbing into a tie for third-place, helping Oregon Tech to a second-place finish at the 2022 Cascade Conference Women's Golf Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at Eagle Point Golf Club.
Canon (77-73 – 150), who was named to the All-CCC Team, climbed three spots in the final standings, recording three birdies and four bogeys on her round – sharing third place with British Columbia's Grace Bell (76-74-150) and Corban's Delaney Rez (74-76 – 150). She was six strokes off the winning pace of UBC's Elizabeth Labbe (76-68 – 144), who carded the low round of the tournament, a final round 4-under-par, 68.
The Lady Owls (328-307 – 635) shaved 21 strokes off their Day 1 team score – finishing well ahead of Corban (335-328 – 663) and Lewis-Clark State (340-325 – 665). UBC (298-292 – 590) earned the CCC title and automatic bid to the NAIA Championships.
Ashley Zhu (82-76 – 158) joined Canon on the All-CCC Team, finishing eighth overall – playing her final seven holes of the day at 1-under-par.
Quincy Beyrouty (83-74 – 157) finished seventh overall, thanks to a stellar back-nine, where she carded a 1-under 35.
Maiya Baker (86-84 – 170) placed 16th, with OIT substitute player,
Madison Darnold shooting a final round 91.
