McMillen and Ignacio Win Events at Chico Twilight

CHICO, Calif. – Both
Nick McMillen and
Jose Ignacio picked up individual victories, as the Oregon Tech men's track team competed at the Chico Invitational.
McMillen earned a win in the 5,000-meters, with his time of 15:26.54 just ahead of teammate
Jonas Hartline (15:31.18). Both
Toby Ruston (16:27.04) and
Maxwell Cox (17:23.73) also competed in the race.
Ignacio continued his banner season in the javelin, claiming the win with a mark of 59.15 meters (194 feet, 1 inch).
On the track,
Mark Hodge clocked a time of 11.26 seconds in the 100-meters,
Patrick Giraudo had a time of 23.63 seconds in the 200-meters, while in the 1,500-meters, Joe Wilkinson finished in 4:27.62.
Chris Martinez also competed in the pole vault, but the mark was not available in the current posted results.
OIT travels next weekend to Corvallis for the Oregon State High Performance Meet.
