Looking to continue to tear through CCC opponents, Tech used a resilient defensive effort to defeat the Bushnell Beacons on the road.
In the first half, both sides went back and forth, exchanging a plethora of stops while buckets were at a premium.
Tech shot just 41% in the first half but limited the Beacons to 39%, which was a key to the Hustlin' Owls having the slim lead.
At the break, Tech led a low-scoring affair 30-25.
In the second half, Bushnell tried to get back into the contest, but Joey Potts took over the game.
Potts shut down the gym and all of the Bushnell momentum, with two poster dunks that even sent the hosts fans into a frenzy.
The Hustlin' Owls road the momentum of Potts and the steady scoring all night from Potts Kellen Gerig to their 15th conference victory of the season.
The Hustlin' Owls had two players in double figures on Friday:
Kellen Gerig: 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting with ten rebounds (double-double)
Joey Potts: 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting with four assists
Bushnell University was led by Drayton Caoile, who scored 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
The Hustlin' Owls will return to action tomorrow when they travel to face Corban (14-10, 9-7) at 5:00 on Saturday.
