KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The No. 5 seeded Lady Owls of Oregon Tech will make the trip to Eugene on Tuesday to face the No. 4 seeded Beacons of Bushnell in the 2022 edition of the Cascade Collegiate Tournament presented by U.S. Bank. Listen Live | Live Stats | Video

Following their regular-season finale, OIT finished with an in-conference record of 12-10, good enough to earn the 5th seed. Following the Beacons' regular-season finale, their in-conference record finished at 15-7, and are the 4th seed. Both sides will compete at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, with the right to advance to the CCC Semifinals on Friday.

The Lady Owls currently have two players who average double-digits in the scoring department. Led by freshman Shelby Blodgett, averaging 13.1 points per game (PPG) for Tech, and her fellow post, Maddyson Tull, averaging 12.6.

The Lady Owls also receive solid contributions from Olivia Sprague, who averages 9.8 PPG, and Kristin Farrell, who averages 9.7.

Melissa Lee and Abby Kreiser are also a big part of Tech's attack, as Lee's grabbed 136 rebounds this season and Kreiser dished out 141 assists. Kreiser also just scored her 1,000th career point; she is the only player in Oregon Tech history with 500 assists and over 1,000 points.

The Lady Owls will have to slow down Aspen Slifka and Morgan McKinney on Tuesday if they want to end Bushnell's season on their home court. Slifka currently averages 15.1 PPG on nearly 48% shooting inside the arc. Although Slifka's average in points is high, McKinney is the heart of the Beacons' team, as the former NAIA All-American has had another incredible season, averaging 12.8 PPG 6.5 rebounds, and has totaled nearly 100 assists.

If Tech can slay the two-headed dragon up north, they could gain traction to make a run towards the NAIA National Tournament.

Play-by-play radio broadcast will be on 92.5 KLAD-FM with Bobby Thompson and Mike Garrard beginning at 6:30 pm with the Scott Meredith Coaches' Show.
