Men's Basketball
INDIANAPOLIS – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) have announced the 2021-22 Academic All‐District® Men's Basketball Team, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Oregon Tech's Garret Albrecht and Matt Van Tassell have both been selected for this prestigious distinction.

Head coach Justin Parnell whose 2021-22 team currently has a 3.74 GPA said, "Matt and Garret exemplify exactly what it means to be a student-athlete. They are tremendous people and have dedicated themselves to the program, and have really bright futures."

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The cumulative grade-point average may NOT be rounded up to 3.30.

Both Matt and Garret will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
