Oregon Tech’s Staub and Armantrout Earn CCC Player of the Week Honors

McKenna Armantrout have been recognized as the Cascade Collegiate Conference WVT Laboratory Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week for their performances during this past weekend.
Staub, a sophomore pitcher/infielder from Hillsboro, Ore., had a career performance on Saturday, dealing five complete innings while adding a grand slam. At the plate, Staub went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored. In the circle, she went 2-0 against two teams receiving votes in the national poll, allowing only five hits, three runs, with 11 strikeouts and a 1.75 ERA over 12 innings pitched.
Armantrout, a senior catcher from Klamath Falls, Ore., went 8-for-12 at the plate to help the Owls to a 3-1 weekend. She finished the week batting .571 with a .714 slugging percentage. Two of her hits were doubles and she finished with four runs, three RBIs and two walks.
