Tull Scores 23, Lady Owls Roll to 83-67 Home Win

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Maddyson Tull scored a career-high 23 points and Olivia Sprague added 22, as Oregon Tech went wire-to-wire, rolling to an 83-67 victory over Northwest University at Danny Miles Court.

The Lady Owls (6-4, 2-2 CCC) had 10 different players score points in the win, recording 20 assists on 31 made field goals.

"We had a great week of practice and stuck to the game plan," said forward Melissa Lee, who had six points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. "After a tough loss last Saturday, it's great to rebound and get a win."

OIT opened the game on a 7-2 run in the first 90 seconds – as a triple from Gabbie Gascon was sandwiched around by two Tull baskets. A Tull lay-up started a 9-0 run that extended the lead to 16-4 – with lead never dipping below nine points the rest of the night.

The visiting Eagles (2-5, 1-3) played short-handed, traveling just nine of the 21 players on the roster and shot a school-record 44 3-point attempts in the contest. NU made a season-high 13 3's, but Tech limited the Eagles to 22-of-68 shooting for the night.

Tull added eight rebounds in the victory – with her scoring total surpassing her previous high of 22, set last season vs. Evergreen State. The senior made 9-of-16 field goals and added 5-of-6 shooting from the line.

Sprague logged her sixth game of the season with 20-or-more points – including four 3-pointers. The sophomore had six rebounds and six assists.

Alex Conley finished with nine points, four rebounds and three steals in the victory, with Gascon scoring seven points with four assists in her first collegiate start. Kayley Elliott led the Lady Owls with nine rebounds.

Maya Duchesne had 22 points in the loss for NU, with Kyrin Baklund scoring 11.

The Lady Owls close out the weekend tomorrow afternoon, hosting Evergreen State at 3 p.m.
