EUGENE, Ore. - Bushnell University used seven aces and 10 total blocks to defeat Oregon Tech in three sets inside the Morse Event Center.
The Beacons (16-9, 11-6) topped the Owls 25-14, 25-21, 25-22 to remain in a tie for third-place in the Cascade Conference standings.
BU used a 7-1 run in the opening set to take a 21-12 lead, with a 5-point run breaking open a 16-15 score in Set 2. The Owls (12-11, 9-8) were within 22-21 in Set 3, but consecutive kills by the Beacons provided the winning margin.
Tech was limited to 25 kills by the BU defense, as
Nicole Reyes finished with eight kill and
Ashley Ripplinger had six.
Courtney Isom paced the way with 13 assists, with Reyes leading the team with eight digs.
Halle Neumann had 13 kills for the Beacons, with Payton Jones recording six blocks.
The Lady Owls return to action tomorrow, traveling to No. 3-ranked Corban at 7 p.m.
