CORVALLIS, Ore.— Oregon Tech goalkeeper Joel Witts was named Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Defender of the Week while OIT forward Arthur Proost received Offensive Player of the Week honors for their performance during the period August 30-September 5, 2021, the conference office announced Monday.
 
Witts, a junior goalkeeper from Bend Ore., played 177 minutes between the posts for Oregon Tech, posting back-to-back shutouts.
 
Proost, a sophomore forward from Zoetermeer, Netherlands, had a heck of a debut for the Owls scoring three goals and assisting on another leading Tech to a 2-0 start to the season. The transfer took five shots over the weekend, converting three of them.
 
The Owls went 2-0 during the past week, with a 3-0 win over William Jessup University and a 5-0 win over Linfield University.
