LEWISTON, Idaho – Oregon Tech's
Payton Canon shot a first round low 70 to lead the field and the Lady Owls into second place Monday after the first round of the Warrior invite held at Lewiston Golf & Country Club.
"I am very proud of how the women played today," said head coach David Myers. "We are really focused on staying in a positive frame of mind as we manage our way around the golf course.  We are making terrific progress toward our goals.  They should all be very proud of what they accomplished today.  Payton  was +2 after 3 holes and did a super job of battling back with back-to-back birdies.  The senior leadership on this team is outstanding."
