KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.— Oregon Tech (9-4, 5-3) suffered a heart-breaking loss at the hands of the 14th-ranked team in the nation on Friday night. The Lady Owls fell three sets to one to Eastern Oregon (12-4, 7-1), handing Tech their first loss on Danny Miles Court this season.

It was a difficult night for an Owls side who saw some questionable calls go against them all night. The Owls also made it difficult on themselves by committing eight service errors, essentially handing free points to an already extremely talented Mountaineers team.

The Lady Owls outscored the Mountaineers in plenty of categories, but it was the mistakes and missed opportunities that piled up for Tech in the end.

Following the loss Coach Murczek said: "Tough one tonight. Great execution the first set and we gave ourselves a chance in the 2nd set at 24-22 to go up 2-0 against the #14 team in the country and didn't finish. Disappointed to say the least, but we need to quickly refocus and get ready for another tough opponent that beat Southern Oregon tonight in 5 sets"

For EOU, Madison Morgan had 11kills, Sade Williams (10), and Cambree Scott (8)
