Eugene, OR -- Oregon Tech (9-2, 5-1) suffered a 3-set loss to R.V. Bushnell (8-2, 4-2) on Friday night, handing the Lady Owls their first loss in conference play this season. The loss for Tech can be avenged tomorrow when they take on the 7th-ranked team in the country, Corban. A victory tomorrow for the Owls would move them back into a first-place tie atop the CCC standings.
Â
"Disappointed that we did not play very well this evening," said head coach
Ken Murczek. "Crazy enough we still had chances in the 2nd and 3rd set to extend the match. We will definitely need to play better tomorrow against #7 Corban."Â

It was a tough night for the lower-seeded Owls who were genuinely outplayed by a Beacon side who came to play. Tech showed a glimmer of hope in the 3rd set when they jumped out to a 13-7 lead, but Bushnell was able to thwart what would've been another incredible Owl comeback.
Â
The Beacons unfortunately did better in nearly every category:
Â
Attack Percentage: .082 to .208
Kills: 29 to 39
Aces: 3 to 6
Blocks: 4 to 7
Assists: 25 to 36
Digs: 37 to 39
