CORVALLIS, Ore.—Five Oregon Tech baseball players have been recognized by the Cascade Collegiate Conference for their performance over the past season helping lead the Hustlin' Owls to a second place CCC finish with an 18-14 conference record and 23-23 overall . Tech's Micah Jio, Dalton Daily, and Patrick Arman have been named to the CCC all-first team while the Owls' Kellen Mendez and Michael Tarakhchyan received CCC gold glove accolades.
 
"Well deserved recognition for our guys," said head coach Jacob Garsez. "All five guys have been major contributors for us. Jio and Daily have been a huge part of our offensive success, while Patrick has been one of our anchors on the mound. Mike has made some elite plays in the outfield, and Kellen has done a great job excelling at a new position. Proud of them. This is a team accomplishment.... our practice competition is outstanding!"
 
Jio, a 5-7 junior from Kula, Hawaii is 7^th in the CCC with a .339 batting average, 3^rd in doubles (18), and 5^th in total hits (46).
 
Daily, a 6-1 junior from Visalia, California is currently fourth in the CCC with a .365 batting average, and he is 3^rd in slugging percentage (.693). Daily is second in the CCC, with 14 home runs, total hits (70), and total bases (133).  
 
Arman, 6-2 freshman from Santa Clarita, California is third in the CCC with a 3.63 ERA. He is 5-2 on the year with 53 strikeouts to just 8-walks.
 
Mendez, a 5-9 freshman from Chino Hills, California only had one error in 185 put outs for a fielding percentage of .995 on the season.
 
Tarakhchyan, a 5-6 junior from Newberg, Oregon has a fielding percentage of .982 with 105 put outs in 109 chances.
