KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech outscored Southern Oregon 16-10 in overtime to secure a 105 – 99 Cascade conference win Saturday to complete a two game sweep of the Raiders at Danny Miles Court.
"That was an outstanding comeback win over a really good Southern squad," said head coach
Justin Parnell. "We struggled to guard the perimeter but we locked in the last 7 minutes of the second half and gave ourselves a chance. Kudos to Coach Mac for his adjustments.
Keegan Shivers has some guts for a true freshman and Kam showed why we've been so high on him since he's been here. Good team weekend- we are getting good minutes from everyone."
Southern Oregon led for the first 36 minutes of the game with their lead reaching 15 several times.
Down 38-32 at the half, Tech made some big adjustments and got the ball in the hands of two freshman, Kameron Osborn (Pictured) and
Keegan Shivers; both players came off the bench to have
career highs. Keegan scored 26 points that included 6-8 from long range while Osborn was 4-of-7 from behind the arc and finished with 24-points.
Three other Hustlin' Owls scored in double figures with
Jamison Guerra and
Harrison Steiger scoring 12-points each while
Kaison Faust added 10.
Garret Albrecht finished with a near double-double as he had nine points and eight rebounds.
SOU was led by Josh Meyer who had a career high 30 points to lead the Raider in the loss.
Tech will hit the road playing at Eastern Oregon next weekend before hosting Humboldt State on Sunday, April 18 at 4:00 pm at Danny Miles Court.
