EUGENE, Ore.— Oregon Tech (7-2) cruised to their third victory over Bushnell (6-6) this season, 87-69 in Eugene on Saturday evening. Tech got a dominant performance from
Erik Fraser (#15 pictured) who had 23 points and shot 5-7 from 3-point range.
In the 1st half, each side shot incredibly well from the floor, but it was the Hustlin' Owls who shot a bit better which was good enough for the 46-37 lead.
Bushnell shot around 51% but Tech shot 60% and more importantly 36% from 3.
Matt Van Tassell led the way for both sides scoring 14 points in the first 20 minutes.
After a strong first half, Tech cruised to victory amounting a 20+ point lead down the stretch leading to the easy win.
Tech shot a slightly lower percentage than Bushnell overall, but had half the turnovers which was essential to the victory as the Beacons had 20 TO's.
Along with Fraser's big night, Van Tassell added 20 points and
Harrison Steiger added 19 for the Hustlin' Owls.
Tech will return to host Warner-Pacific for their final two games of the year this weekend.
