CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's basketball team is beginning a mandatory 14-day pause of team activities due to COVID-19 protocols, the conference announced Wednesday.
The earliest the team could return to training would be April 28. As a result, the Lions' Cascade Collegiate Conference contests against Warner Pacific University (April 16 and 17) and Oregon Tech (April 23 and 24) have been canceled. The games against Corban University on May 2 and 3 remain as scheduled at this time.
According to the CCC's Oregon Health Authority-approved protocols, teams with fewer than 50 individuals are required to suspend activities when three or more have been put in isolation and may resume two weeks after the date of the most recent positive coronavirus test.
The Lions have a 1-22 overall record and 0-6 mark in the spring CCC season.
MU's women's team is still playing as scheduled.
