PORTLAND, Ore.— It was a dominant night for the Oregon Tech Lady Owls (9-5, 6-5 CCC) who earned a road sweep over Warner-Pacific (2-9, 2-9 CCC). "The team executed at a very high level tonight," said Tech head coach
Ken Murczek. "14 kills with 1 error on 17 attempts in the first set was impressive! We made progress tonight in areas that we focused on this week in practice which is exciting. I think we are continuing to improve and look forward to taking the court again tomorrow evening."
Set 1 -- Tech 25 Warner-Pacific 17
In set 1, like Murczek mentioned, Tech was extremely effective on their kills. Finding the hardwood on 77% of their attempts, they were able to claim an easy 1
st set win, which would set the script for the rest of the night.
Set 2 -- Tech 25 Warner-Pacific 16
After not having as strong of an attacking percentage, Tech took advantage of a plethora of Knight errors as they grabbed a 2-0 lead.
Set 3 -- Tech 25 Warner Pacific 18
Tech ramped up their attack from the 2nd set and led throughout en route to a dominant display over Warner Pacific.
Nicole Reyes led the Owls with 11 kills, followed by
Ireland Bennett with 9.
Faith Houck-Wylie had a game high 7-blocks with
Ashley Ripplinger sending back 5.
Tech outclassed Warner in nearly every category:
