ASHLAND, Ore.— Oregon Tech's
Hunter Drops hit an NAIA"B" qualifier in both the javelin and pole vault, while
Alex Conley hit an "A" mark in the javelin for the women while
Brittan Bratscher hit a "B". Tech's
Angel Valdez, and
Finausulieti Tuifua won events Thursday on the first day of the Southern Oregon University Invite #2.
Valdez won the 400 M in a time of 51.14 with Tech's
Corban Remsburg (8
th) and
Patrick Giraudo (9
th) finishing in the top 10.
Bradley Johnston was 2
nd in men's 400 Hurdles (58.01).
In the women's 400 M Tech's
Lily Lavine was 4
th with a time of 1:00.82.-
In field events, Tech finished 1 thru 3. In the women's javelin, Conley won the event with an "A" throw of 40.82 M.
Brittan Bratscher was 2
nd "B" (40.42m), with
Aarika Brooks in 3
rd (38.53m),
Amber Miller 5
th (36.91m) and
Ally Odell 8
th (28.03m).
Hunter Drops won the men's pole vault "B" throw of (4.77m) with
Thomas Dodgen placing 4
th (4.17m).
Drops also won the men's javelin with a "B" throw (56.14m) with Dodgen 3
rd (47.71m), and
Mariano Segura 4
th.
Tuifua won the women's shot put with a toss of (11.31m).
Tech's Montgomery Payne was 4
th in the men's shot put (13.22m).
