HILLSBORO, Ore. – Oregon Tech took advantage of several Corban miscues in game 2 that played a huge role in Saturday's doubleheader split between the teams. The Owls took advantage, scoring three unearned runs and then held off a Warrior comeback attempt in the 5-3 triumph. The Warriors won game one 9-3 at Ron Tonkin Field.
"It was great to see our guys respond well in game 2," said head coach
Jacob Garsez. "Our guys pitched 16 quality innings today and did a great job minimizing pitch counts, played solid defense in the second game and made some big plays that helped keep the momentum in our dugout. We had good offensive moments and took advantage of some opportunities on the bases, but we'll need to continue to improve at earning count leverage and becoming more aggressive in positive counts. Good team win."
