Lady Owls Jump to No. 12 in Coaches’ Poll
Women's Cross Country
February 18, 2021
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Oregon Tech women's cross country team moved up eight spots from No. 20 to No. 12 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll released today.
"The ladies poll surprised me a little," said head coach
Jack Kegg. "This was a good jump for the ladies to #12. We are young and very talented but we have not put together a complete race yet in this season. The ladies will gain some very valuable experience tomorrow racing some very good teams from Division 1. Oregon, Washington State, and Seattle U will give us a new perspective of what good is and how good we can become in the future."
"This group of ladies has improved every week we have been together and gained a great deal from each race. This week will be no different for the owls," Kegg added.
Taylor (Ind.) lands at No. 1 for the third time this season.
From the Cascade Conference, College of Idaho moved from No.11 to the No.6 spot with Lewis-Clark State moving from not rated, all the way up to No.17 while Northwest University just missed the Poll, coming in at No. 26 in the receiving votes category.
