KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Oregon Tech Hustlin' Owls (5-5, 2-0) throttled #15 College of Idaho (7-3, 1-1) in an 83-68 upset victory over the 'Yotes. OIT led from the opening whistle and used timely shooting to remain undefeated in CCC play.

"That's a really good College of Idaho team we just beat," said head coach
Justin Parnell. "We really felt whoever wins the battle of the boards was going to win the game and for us to beat a team of that caliber by 15 on the glass says a lot about how hard we played tonight."

Coming off a defeat to Antelope Valley that ended on a controversial call, Tech came out on Friday evening with a vengeance, and took it to the 15th-ranked team in the nation.

Tech came out lighting the nets on fire, shooting 18-of-29 in the first half.

The Hustlin' Owls were flying around the floor, turning defense to offense, and causing the College of Idaho to take forced and rushed shots.

After holding COI to 13-of-33 shooting, Tech found themselves ahead 45-28 at the half, leaving the 'Yotes faithful in shock.

In the second period, COI attempted to make a comeback, but OIT's defense stood tall and held them off to cruise to victory.

Tech finished the game with four players in double figures in scoring while also out-rebounding the Yotes 43-28.

College of Idaho finished with three players in double figures and was led by Drew Wyman who had 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting while Tyler Robinett added 11 points in the loss.

Tech will look to continue their hot start to league play when they host Eastern Oregon tomorrow at 5:00 pm at Danny Miles Court. College of Idaho will head to play Southern Oregon on Saturday in Ashland, the raiders beat Eastern Oregon Friday by a score of 70-67.
