REDDING, Calif. - Oregon Tech (3-0) used a big second half to pull away from Simpson (1-3) on Friday for a 70-52 victory. With Tech leading by only three at half, they ramped up their defense and ran a smooth transition offense to break away.

Both sides got off to a slow start, as each team was looking to establish their physical presence.

At the end of the first period, Tech held a slim lead of one, at 9-8.

In the second period, both teams would ramp up their offense.

With the score knotted at 27, and five seconds left,
Kristin Farrell knocked down a three on her first attempt. The nothing-but-net shot gave Tech a 30-27 halftime lead.

In the second half, Tech wasted no time in ramping up their offense and defense.

The Lady Owls played physical defense which would quickly turn to successful transition offense.

In the third quarter, Tech outscored the hosts 22-10, which gave them the lead for good.

Tech would finish the game outscoring the Red Hawks in the 4th quarter as well, for the 70-52 win.

Tech was led by
Shelby Blodgett who scored 12 points on 5-5 shooting.

Also in double figures was
Maddyson Tull (#11 Pictured) with 11 and
Kristin Farrell with 10.

Melissa Lee led the team in rebounds with 7, and
Olivia Sprague led the team in assists with 6.
