KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Oregon Tech (24-6) used lights-out attacking and their record volleyball crowd of 1,151 to a three-set sweep of Westmont College (20-11) on Saturday evening. The victory for Tech advances them to the final 24, where they will enter "Pool-Play" on November 30th, in Sioux City, Iowa to compete for the first time ever among the NAIA's best for the National Championship.
"Absolutely tremendous job of executing tonight by our team," said head coach Ken Murczek. "I want to thank the Klamath Falls community for coming out and supporting us. We had a huge home-court advantage tonight. The gym was electric from the first point all the way to the last swing to win the match. I am excited to see our team get rewarded for all of their continued hard work and we look forward to heading to Iowa next weekend."
"We just got beat," stated Westmont head coach Ruth McGolpin. "It was an amazing crowd and so much fun to play in that gym. It was a great environment and they deserved this win, hands down."

After earning an at-large bid to their first-ever NAIA opening round, Tech was playing with house money and made sure not to waste the opportunity.
The Lady Owls controlled each set, hitting at an outrageous clip of .382 on the attacking front.
OIT limited their errors and played a near-perfect game, spurred on by a packed house at The Owls' Nest.
Westmont dug the ball and assisted well, but ultimately it wouldn't be enough as everything was going the Lady Owls' way.
Tech outperformed the Lady Warriors in these categories that attributed to the victory:

Blocks: 3 to 2
Aces: 8 to 4
Assists: 37 to 31
Digs: 42 to 37

Errors: 6 to 14
The Lady Owls were led in kills by
Nicole Reyes (pictured) with 10 kills, Reyes now has 836 career kills.
Kaylin Talonen added 9 kills for Tech in the win. The Owls will now look to the re-seeding of the "Pool-Play" phase to see the two teams they will face off against on November 30
th in Sioux City.
