Tech’s Nicole Reyes Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District® Honors

INDIANAPOLIS -The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced its 2021 Academic All-District® Teams for women's volleyball. Oregon Tech's Nicole Reyes was one of six student-athletes from the Cascade Collegiate Conference to earn the honor.
 
The 2021 Academic All-District® volleyball teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The cumulative grade-point average may NOT be rounded up to 3.30.
 
Reyes, a 5-7 junior from Fairfield, California is a dual major in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering and has a Cumulative GPA of 4.0 She has led her team to a new school record with 23 wins and counting.   
 
As a First Team Academic All-District® honoree Reyes will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-December.
