KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – For the first time in Oregon Tech school history, all five fall sports have qualified for the NAIA National Championships with the announcement yesterday on qualifiers for volleyball and soccer.

The Tech volleyball team finished third in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) and are nationally ranked at No. 25. This is the first time since 2008 that they have been nationally ranked. The top 25 ranking and the 23-6 overall record are the best in school history and have earned the Lady Owls the opportunity to host an NAIA opening round match this Saturday at 7:00 pm against Westmont College at Danny Miles Court.

Both men and women's cross-country teams finished 3rd at the CCC Championships held at the Running Y Ranch Resort in early November. Both teams are currently ranked in the top 25 with the men at No.14 and the women at No. 23. The teams each earned an at large berth to the national championships that will be held on November 19 in Vancouver, Wash.

Both Oregon Tech soccer teams won the CCC postseason tournament with the women also winning the regular season title and the men being co-champions; both are also firsts in OIT school history. The women are ranked No.18 while the men are ranked at No.19.

Both soccer teams found out Monday that they will be heading to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to play in the NAIA national championship opening round. Oklahoma Wesleyan will be the host institution for both tournaments. The Lady Owls will be the No. 2 seed and will play the No. 3 seed, Science & Arts (Okla.), in the opening game on Thursday, November 18th at 5:30 p.m. (Pacific) The Tech men are the No. 3 seed in the Bartlesville bracket and will play two-seeded Lyon (Ark.) at 11:30 a.m. (Pacific) also on Thursday, Nov. 18.

"Collectively, the way our student-athletes have performed this fall has been beyond impressive," said athletic director John Van Dyke. "The commitment and drive we have shown to compete at the highest levels is a reflection on our coaches and the culture within the department."
