Hustlin’ Owls Host Lithia Classic Starting Tonight
Men's Basketball
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The No.13 ranked Oregon Tech men's basketball team has opened the season at 0-2 but look to turn things around starting tonight as they host the Lithia Classic at Danny Miles Court.

The Lithia Classic will begin at 5:30 pm tonight as Southern Oregon, who has also started the year at 0-2, will play William Jessup (3-0). Tech will then hit Danny Miles Court at 7:30 pm against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (2-2) at 7:30 pm. Saturday, Southern Oregon plays Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at 5:30 pm and Owls wrap up the tournament at 7:30 pm against William Jessup.

Oregon Tech head coach Justin Parnell had this to say about his team heading into this weekend, "Despite starting the season 0-2 on the road, we still feel really good about this team and what we can accomplish this season. We shot the ball poorly last weekend, but we defended very well, holding both opponents under 70. We've had a few key injuries early on and that's forced us to try some different rotations, but we feel good about the adjustments that have been made and are hopeful to get those guys back real soon. We've stumbled out of the gates in previous years and went on to have fantastic seasons."

Parnell continued, "The Lithia Classic is loaded with talent this year. William Jessup is as good as anyone in the GSAC and will bring a roster loaded with talent. They are definitely an NAIA National Tournament team. Embry-Riddle is always a tough defensive team and will really look to put some points on the board this year. Southern Oregon, as usual, will be one of the most well-coached teams in the field and are always sharp both offensively and defensively. They have good veteran leadership and some special young talent. I'd also like to add a huge thank you to Lithia for sponsoring this tournament and allowing us to put together a first-class show for our fans."
