INDIANAPOLIS -The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced its 2021 Academic All-District® Teams for men's and women's soccer. Oregon Tech had two-student athletes selected: Maddie Miller for women's soccer and Jake Mitchell for men's soccer.

The 2021 Academic All-District® men's and women's soccer teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The cumulative grade-point average may NOT be rounded up to 3.30.

Mitchell, a 6-0 junior from Temecula, California is a mechanical engineering major and has a
GPA of 3.81. Jake has led his team to a school record 16-1-1 record. He leads the team with 10 goals and 4 assists for a team best 24 points.

Miller, a 5-8 junior from Oregon City, Oregon is a diagnostic medical sonography major with a cumulative GPA of 4.0. Miller is two-time all-conference honoree. Miller just scored the game winning goal in Tech's 1-0 CCC semifinal win over Carroll College.

Miller and Mitchell as First Team Academic All-District® honorees will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
