ASHLAND, Ore. - Oregon Tech (13-4, 9-3) held off a comeback attempt from Southern Oregon (9-8, 4-8) to grab a five-set victory. The victory for Tech completes the regular-season sweep of their rivals from the west since 2005. The Lady Owls came out victorious in the first two sets, but it was the Raiders who won the next two before Tech grabbed the momentum back midway through the fifth.
"I am incredibly proud of the team," said head coach
Ken Murczek. "Not easy to be up 2-0 and then have to play a fifth set to decide the match on the road. Our offense did a nice job tonight and we will need to clean up our serving and block for Friday's match."
