Klamath Falls, OR -- On Senior Day #24 Oregon Tech (14-1) strengthened their hold on 1st place in the CCC with a 2-1 victory over R.V. Corban (9-5) on Friday afternoon. Tech was able to grab a late winner through a 75th-minute goal from
Cade O'Neill. O'Neill was able to drift behind the Warrior's defense and hammer it home on the back-post to seal up all three points. (Pictured L-R are seniors,

#24 Oregon Tech 2 R.V. Corban 1
To no surprise, Tech was involved in another aggressive match, as both sides had a lot to play for entering the afternoon.
While tensions were at their lowest, Corban drew first blood in the 21st minute. Nate Sherwood redirected a ball that fell to him at the back post, slotting it past
Joel Witts to put the Warriors ahead.
Corban's 1-0 lead would be taken into the half, as the Warriors were the more energetic side, and ultimately had created the better chances.
However, the second half was a completely different story and Tech came out with guns a-blazing.
As tensions began to boil over, Tech won a free kick in an attacking position. After the ref cleared the scrum between the two sides, he set down the ball for
Jake Mitchell. Mitchell ripped a shot towards goal, that took a deflection off a Corban defender, and ended up in the back of the net.
The goal sent Tech into jubilation as they stormed to their home crowd to celebrate.
After dominating the tempo, 20 minutes later, Tech would go ahead for good.
After a corner kick that bounced around the box, the ball fell right to
Cade O'Neill on the back post.
O'Neill timed a perfect onside run and after receiving the ball, slotted it home to hammer Tech into the lead.
Tech would see the match out, ultimately solidifying their grip on 1st in the CCC.
The Hustlin' Owls finished the match outshooting Corban 11-4, and 9-2 in the second half.
Tech will travel up north to play Multnomah and Warner-Pacific next weekend.
As it stands, the Hustlin' Owls match against Warner-Pacific would be for the CCC regular-season title next weekend in Portland.
