De Castro Leads Owls in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Oregon Tech men's 4 x 400 relay team and
Danielle De Castro in the 3k won their events to lead the Owls Sunday at the George Fox/University of Portland Indoor meet #2 on Sunday at the Chiles Center.
De Castro finished first in the 3K (10:02.15) and set a new school record with
Cindy Reed finishing 5
th (10:12.15) both hitting NAIA "A" marks with
Delani Dietrich 27
th (10:39.39)
Mia Smith 32
nd (10:44.41) and
Hannah Mason 34
th (10:45.74) just missing the NAIA "B" mark of 10:35.
Amber VonEssen was 18
th in 800
Lily Lavine was 11
th (1:03.00) and
Aarika Brooks 18
th (1:05.76) in the women's 400.
For the OIT men Sunday,
Angel Valdez finished 2
nd in the men's 400 (51.60),
Corban Remsburg was 3
rd (51.80),
Josiah Stroup 5
th (52.52) and
Thomas Dodgen 8
th (52.98) these four also won the 4 x 400 relay in a time of 3:29.98
Dylan Woodward was 10
th in the 800 meter in a time of 1:59.96
