Lady Owls Split in Redding

REDDING, Calif. – No. 8 Oregon Tech improved to 3-1 on the season with a split on the opening day of the Simpson Tournament. The Owls downed the host Red Hawks 2-1 to start the day, then got beat by NCAA DII Dominican 11-1 in their second game at the Simpson Softball Field Saturday.

"Game one was played as well as we could have played," said OIT assistant coach Jamie Leveque. "Great pitching, defensive plays and timely hitting.  We had no answer for Dominican.  They hit everything we threw at them.
