EUGENE, Ore. – Sophomore
Kristin Farrell had a career high 29 points to lead Oregon Tech (15-10, 9-6 CCC) to an 89-78 upset win over No.17 Northwest Christian Saturday night at the Morse Event Center.
"This was a huge weekend sweep for the Lady Owls," said head coach
Scott Meredith. "Tonight's victory over Northwest Christian may have been our best performance of the season. Thanks to some solid defensive stops and outstanding shooting, we got off to a fast start and never looked back. Abby really managed the game and controlled the tempo and her teammates were focused at both ends of the court. Our bench was awesome once again and I'm so happy for our team. We are all forward to our next five games at home."
Farrell hit 5-of-8 from long range as the Owls shot 58% as a team from the three-point line on the night.
Amanda Constant had 15 points and added a game high eight-rebounds for OIT who held a 39-32 rebounding advantage.
Freshman
Makaila Napoleon continued to play well for the Owls as she added 10-points and 7-rebounds.
The Owls will next host rival Southern Oregon University on Tuesday night, February 11th
At 5:30 pm at Danny Miles Court.
