ASHLAND, Ore. -  The No.10-ranked Oregon Tech softball team will be the #2 seed heading into this weekend's Cascade Conference Tournament presented by U.S. Bank. The tournament is slated for May 3-5 and will be hosted by Southern Oregon University.
 
The Lady Owls' first game will be Friday, May 5th at 4:30 p.m. against the winner of #3 seed College of Idaho (35-13) vs. # 6 seed British Columbia (12-25). If the Owls win, they would play at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. A loss on Friday and they would turnaround and play Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. 
 
By winning the CCC regular season, the SOU Raiders have earned the CCC's first automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament and the right to host this weekend's CCC tournament. The conference's second automatic berth goes to the winner of the CCC Tournament. If SOU wins the CCC Tournament, whichever team finishes as the runner-up in the tournament will receive the conference's second automatic bid to nationals.

The Lady Owls just concluded the regular season by taking three of four games on the road at Eastern Oregon University last weekend as they finish CCC play with a record of 23-4 and 38-13 overall. The 23-4 mark gave the Owls a second place finish, just one game behind SOU as the Raiders won the CCC regular season championship with a record of 24-3.
 
On the offensive side, the Owls finished second in the CCC with .353 batting average with SOU in first at .366. however, OIT led the CCC in almost all other offensive categories; slugging percentage (.537), on base percentage (.428), runs scored (382), hits (523), runs batted in (350), doubles (101), home runs (49), total bases (797), and walks (184).
 
Ali Graham led the Owls in batting average at .437, followed by Dre Sotelo (.410), McKenna Armantrout (.395), Cierra Barkis (.391) and Kiahna Brown (.359).
 
The OIT pitching staff was led by Sarah Abramson (20-4) 2.43 ERA, and Graham (13-6) 2.77 ERA. Abramson led the CCC in strike outs with a total of 177 in 146 innings pitched.
