VANCOUVER, B.C. – Oregon Tech (11-33, 5-21 NAIA-W) faced off against the University of British Columbia (21-16, 17-8 NAIA-W) in NAIA-West play on Saturday at Tourmaline West stadium and dropped both games, getting no-hit in the first to fall 6-0 and falling just short in the nightcap at 4-3.

Pitcher Niall Windeler led the Thunderbird in the first game, striking out ten Owls for the historic No-Hitter. The effort earned him the win, with his record improving to 4-3 on the season.
Tech defense held firm as well, holding British Columbia without a run until the top of the fifth, when a double scored two. Two singles in the seventh brought the score to four, and a Nolan Weger homer in the eighth took the score to the final six.

Game 2 University of British Columbia 4 Oregon Tech 3
Micah Jio scored on a wild pitch in the first inning of the second game to kick things off in favor of Oregon Tech.
However, the Thunderbirds countered in the fourth as two singles batted in a run each to move the game to 2-1 in their favor.
The Hustlin' Owls came back quick in the sixth as
Emmett Covello homered to score two, but Jordan Dray homered for University of British Columbia in the bottom of the inning to score two of his own and regain the final single-point advantage.
Jio earned two hits, followed by
Josh Kallstrom, Covello,
Alex Malcolm,
Austin Florez, and
Xzavian Gonzales with one each.
Dray led the Thunderbirds, hitting 3-of-4 to bat in three runs, and Brandon Hupe hit 2-of-4. UBC pitcher James Bradwell struck out eight Owls in the effort.
The Hustlin' Owls will remain in British Columbia to face off against the Thunderbirds in a second doubleheader on Sunday, with games starting at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm before returning to Klamath Falls for their final home series against Lewis-Clark State College, with the first game taking place at 5:00 pm on Friday.
